This bright and beautifully designed apartment in Rome ensures your comfort.

Location: The location is near the ancient Ponte Sisto bridge for a stroll across the Tiber River to Trastevere. Exciting Campo de’ Fiori is a 4-minute walk and fabled Piazza Navona 5 minutes farther. The area is rich with dining options and shops. History runs deep in nearby Largo Argentina where Julius Caesar met his end. Just beyond is the Ancient Jewish quarter. The Island in the Tiber is your landmark.

Interior: Guests appreciate the clean sense of Italian design throughout with many custom pieces.

The living area includes a TV corner, dining table and kitchen with modern appliances.

The large bedroom with en suite bathroom features a sauna as well a dual jacuzzi tub! The en suite bathroom has dramatic black fixtures. Each bedroom is equipped with a digital TV with Netflix and Prime subscriptions.

The second bedroom has a single bed with a pull out that can be made up as 2 beds or joined as one bed. Its bathroom is just across the hall.

The third bedroom has an en suite bath and plenty of space with a walk-in closet.

Neighborhood: The interesting arrangement of buildings around a courtyard, now used for parking, echoes millennia of active use. The courtyard and the neighborhood were defined in the first century by the Emperor Domitian. As the city evolved, the palaces/buildings that were used for homes, warehouses and offices rose and fell again and again, preserving the building locations and streets that carry you even today to the important Roman locations.

The Ponte Sisto bridge nearby (now pedestrian) to Trastevere has spanned the River Tiber for millennia.  For a peek into the past, an excavation into ancient Roman rooms below this area revealed rooms, arches, mosaics and a column from the ancient ages. It is seldom open but enjoy photos by searching online for images of Insula di San Paola alla Regola for a wonderful dive into the history of this area. Savor a Roman meal at Osteria Romana di Simmi nearby and ask if you may visit their own Roman era rooms below. The neighborhood church Santissima Trinita dei Pellegrini offers the rare Catholic Mass in Latin.
