Salerno Costa d'Amalfi Airport

A convenient alternative to Naples, the Salerno Costa d'Amalfi Airport (QSR) offers seasonal flights from across Europe. Located near Salerno, it provides easy access to the Amalfi Coast by taxi, bus or car.

Salerno Costa d'Amalfi Airport

The Salerno Costa d'Amalfi Airport, reopened to regular commercial flights in 2024, is a small airport located about 10 miles from Salerno in Campania. It's on the opposite side of the Sorrentine Peninsula from Naples, the main airport in the region. Eight airlines serve the Salerno airport, with direct flights from 19 airports in 10 countries throughout Europe.

Terminals

A new and updated terminal at Salerno Airport is still under construction, slated to open in 2026 or 2027, but in the meantime there's one small terminal building to serve passengers. Most of the flights in and out of Salerno are seasonal and operated by European budget carriers. The new terminal building will have five gates.

Getting to/from QSR Airport

You have a few good choices for getting into Salerno (or elsewhere in the region) from QSR or vice versa.

Taxis

There are fixed rates with Radio Taxi Salerno cabs between QSR and the Salerno train station or ferry terminal (€50), and the nearby towns of Battipaglia (€30), Bellizzi (€15) and Pontecagnano (€25). There may be additional fees for extra passengers or luggage. The drive into Salerno takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic.

By bus

Salerno Airlink express coaches connect the Salerno airport with the city. The trip between the airport and train station is about 40 minutes and a one-way ticket costs €5. Extra or especially large luggage is an additional €5. City bus Line 8 also runs between the airport and the train station in about 40 minutes, with a one-way ticket costing €1.40.

By car

Salerno's airport is a 20- to 30-minute drive to or from Salerno via the SS18 or A2. The drive to or from Amalfi is roughly one hour, depending on traffic, also via the SS18 or A2.
