Marino Wine Festival

5 October 2025

Just a short journey from Rome, the charming town of Marino celebrates its annual wine festival on the first Sunday of October. Located in the heart of the Castelli Romani region and a major wine producer, the town knows how to put on a big event. The day begins with a mass at the Basilica of San Barnaba, followed by a procession of the Madonna of the Rosary through the town to bless the vineyards. In the evening, Marino's most famous tradition begins as the town's fountains flow with wine instead of water for half an hour - an unforgettable spectacle best enjoyed at the less-crowded Fontanile Comunale or Fontana del Tritone. The festivities continue into the night with live music, celebrations and fireworks to close the event.
