Beginning in the Palagio di Parte Guelfa at around midday, a parade of musicians and flag carriers in Renaissance costume bring the streets to life in its procession to the Piazza del Duomo. A mass is held in the crypt of Santa Reparata in the cathedral, followed by celebrations in the square with music and festivities into the evening.
