"We stayed here in 2009 and there is very little we can add to our review then. The location is excellent in two respects 1.It is in a quiet street yet only five minutes flat walk (no bridges or steps) from St Marks Square 2.The view from the flat is stupendous, not only from the main room but also from the roof terrace. Both overlook a canal junction which is usually busy with commercial traffic in the early morning and then, for the rest of the day with gondolas. There is a gondolier’s station visible from the apartment and the passing traffic presents a never ending stream of entertainment. The flat itself is spacious and comfortable; the kitchen is a little small but is adequate. Once again the TV did not work; there was some problem with the Sky Italia connection with the satellite. This required a Sky technician to attend and this appeared to be not possible. However we managed well enough with a DVD player we had brought with us. We visited during a heatwave and there was some form of centrally controlled air conditioning throughout the block of flats we were part of but this never seemed to work effectively. There were two fans in the flat which provided some relief but we were very glad of proper air conditioning when we moved to Florence the following week. We ate a couple of times at our favourite restaurant – Bistrot de Venise, a short walk away in Calle dei Fabbri, and on our last night treated ourselves to expensive drinks sitting outside Florians in St Marks Square. listening to the music. We very much enjoyed our second visit and we look forward to a third."

"We had a very enjoyable stay, accommodations were good, apartment is roomy, I liked the traditional decor, feeling of old world charm. Convenient location for seeing the sites. Thank you for all your good information and prompt replies to my questions during the reservation process. We would recommend this apartment highly."

Serenata

Serenata

"Serenata ispira amore assoluto—to say that Serenata evokes a feeling of absolute love and passion seems hopelessly inadequate. Gloriously positioned on the fifth floor with the altana looking up and out, about and down creates a sense of other-worldliness—it is as if you have been allowed to trespass in another’s private realm. For the moments spent drinking in the sonorous sounds of the bells and the wonderfully fecund, almost primordial smell of the canals, both early in the morning and late into the night, there is no comparison. The apartment is beautifully appointed, and the heady sense of the exotic married with Venetian art and rich fabrics echoes the richness of the facades around it. We lived Venice; we loved Venice, and we would reclaim Serenata as our own in a heartbeat."

"After a busy week of at-home catch-up and the challenges of returning to work, this is a belated thank you for our stay in your delightful and very conveniently located apartment in Rome. We were especially grateful to Carlo for his courtesies and flexibility, including offering to pick us up at Roma Termini to take us to the apartment. He is a an excellent ambassador for his country and a thoroughly charming young man to have as your greeter."

"This was our first time to rent an apartment in Italy and it changed the way I think about travel. We so enjoyed having a place for our group to congregate and relax. Living room and dining room are so roomy. On site staff was polite and helpful."

"This apartment was great for us. We have two kids. 10 and 12. The greeters were fabulous and went over everything in full detail. They made it easy to check in and waited for us to arrive. They even helped with the luggage from the small elevators. The building is gorgeous. The front room turns into the kids room as do many apt. for vacation rentals. The kitchen needs a little improvement as it was very clean and functional but it was builit like a cabinet as shown, but the refrigerator was in a totally separate room. They just need to bring one in closer. The Rest was perfect. The rooms were a good size. The washer was very useful and closets were huge. The apartment was quiet and the location was absolutely the best ever. I could not have landed us in a better spot. Every restaurant and sight is practically right out your door. Best of the best. Hit Grom For Florence's best Gelato and for fun shopping hit the stalls. The apartment lands you with in five minutes of the Uffitzi, the Duomo and just about any pastry your heart desires."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Florence in September/October staying at the lovely Tesoro apartment. It is wonderfully central and the apartment, itself, with all the frescos was charming. Everything worked well except the T.V. - which didn't receive any foreign news channels (which we missed). The microwave couldn't be made to work, - and the instruction book is lost, according to Elisabetta.  Apart from two relatively minor problems, we really loved the apartment and the area.  We wouldn't hesitate to recommend 'Italy Perfect' to our friends. Thank you for your feedback, we are pleased you enjoyed the beautiful features of the Tesoro apartment. The microwave has been fixed and works now. It is true that for now the TV receives only local channels. Lisa Italy Perfect"

"

My family of 5 (including 3 teenagers) spent 5 nights in Rome, staying at the Valentina apartment near the Spanish steps. The apartment was spacious, very comfortable (the air conditioning was fabulous during the heat wave we encountered) and extremely well situated for visiting the city. It is 2 blocks from the Metro station and cab stand, close to lots of restaurants and shops, including a grocery store where we stocked up on breakfast items. The owner met us at the apartment (we called from the Rome airport), oriented us to the place and helped out when needed (wi fi went down one day - very important to teenagers). With a family this size, staying in an apartment makes the visit so much more enjoyable. This is a lovely place to stay. We didn't really cook - the kitchen was small by American standards but worked well for our needs. We tried restaurants recommended by the owner and in Rick Steves' guidebook (all good) and found a great one on our own (at the corner of Via Margutta and via del Fontenella, near Piazza del Poplo. Italy Perfect handled all the details beautifully. Thank you Lisa.

"This apartment really helped make our visit to Florence absolutely perfect. It was quite large, well equipped and simply but very elegantly furnished; the key however, was the location. Located right on the Ponte Vecchio, it affords a visitor the comfort of roaming the streets of Florence and knowing you could never possibly not figure out how to get home. Everything from Memoria is so incredibly convenient and accessible, it makes this walking city even more enticing and enjoyable. We loved every moment outside, but were always thrilled to come back to the comfort (and the amazing terrace with incredible view) of our lovely home away from home. The staff at ItalyPerfect really outdid themselves, and I am already looking forward to returning to Memoria soon. Pat, Lisa and their contact Francesca are all thoughtful and thorough, and my confidence in them was well-rewarded with one of the best vacations of my life!"

"We spent one week at Memoria and thought it was wonderful. We have 3 older teenagers and there was more than enough room for everyone. The apartment was very well appointed, and had all the staples and kitchen implements we needed. It provided a wonderful opportunity to have a lighter breakfast and lunch if we wanted. All appliances were excellent, the kids loved the high speed internet, and in August, the air conditioning was a welcome feature. It was a perfect location for everything--restaurants, night life, Uffizi Gallery, Pitti Palace and all the Florence attractions. We frequented the local grocery store daily and picked up great fruits and breads. An absolutely perfect location and superior accommodation."

"What a wonderful place to stay in Florence!! The friendly greeters, Miki and Franco, were so welcoming and helped us get a feel for the city and the apartment. The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for a studio apartment, and it had everything we needed, from pots and pans to internet access to a laundry closet down the hall. The furniture is really space-efficient, and all of the cabinets and the whole kitchen unit have sliding doors. It gave us some great ideas for furnishing our new apartment back home. There's a great modern bathroom and beautiful paintings as well. The location is absolutely amazing--it's in a beautiful area near some great cafes and restaurants (not to mention the shopping!) We loved walking to the market everyday to pick out food to make for dinner--such a great way to really experience Italian food."

"Our stay at the Giotto apartment was the final stop in a month long journey throughout Italy. We were very happy with the accommodations, clean and comfortable and enjoyed the lively piazza at night. This location is great if you want to be in the center of the action, but be prepared for activity in the piazza that can be noisy during popular tourist season. We loved all the useful information that Italy Perfect provided in advance of our trip and their honest and detailed descriptions of the apartment. Thank you Lisa and Pat!"

Tesoro

Tesoro

"Tesoro was everything advertised and more. The pictures do not compare to the real thing. There is plenty of room and the terace is great for breakfast and dinner. Tesoro is located steps from Santa Croce and the tourist information office is next door! It is a leisurely twenty minute walk to the railroad station. On that walk you pass all the main sites in Florence. Santa Croce piazza is where hundreds of people gather in the evening to socialize and eat their gelatto. Any restaurant we ate in was good, but with Tesoro and all the food markets available we cooked in most nights. "A little pasta, some fruit, cheese, bread and wine." Tesoro and Florence were a perfect Italian vacation."

"We could not have chosen a better place to see Florence with our children and grand-children. The apartment was spacious, elegant, and very well situated. Our unit was internal, which may have accounted for it being so quiet even though we were by a busy square. It overlooked several courtyards, creating a pleasant environment. We went out to buy croissants every morning in several nearby bakeries and brought them back. What a treat. The local manager was very helpful, as was the general information provided to us ahead of the trip by Italy perfect. Highly recommended."

"I cannot begin to describe how absolutely perfect this apartment was -- I have already asked to reserve it for when my daughter spends a college semester in Florence, which won't be for 8 years. It was stunningly spacious for and Italian apartment, the view from the terrace was incredible, and the location made for easy travel anywhere because you couldn't get lost getting home since you are sitting on top of the Ponte Vecchio. I really wish we could have stayed longer! The ice cream shop outside the door to the left is wonderful, the grocery store across the bridge to the left is amazingly abundant (get the mortadella and the burrata, please!), and food in Florence beat anything we had anywhere else in Italy. We liked Due Sorelle (a little higher end) and loved Osteria al Cinghiale Biancho. Note to visitors to outdoor restaurants because we saw a lot of people do this -- please do not walk in and just sit down at a random outside table, the waitstaff HATES that and will show you just how much in their own special way. Final note, the Uffizi now offers a membership called Amici degli Uffizi which is invaluable. You get to walk into the office, pick up a darling membership card with your name on it and then go right to the front of the entrance line, which on our day looked to be over two hours waiting. It also affords you the same opportunity at Accademia, just you go to the reservations line and wait for a short while there, which again saved us about an hour in waiting. If you add up the cost of the membership against your entry fees you are ahead of the game, both financially and timewise. Overall, an amazing trip, cannot wait to return."
