"Our family of six really enjoyed our time in Rome at the Pasquino apartment. With our four children now between the ages of 12 and 20, walking one direction to the ancient Forum, or walking the other direction to the Vatican City was quite easy. Also, the Pantheon and the Piazza Navona are practically next door.Another pleasant surprise was the close proximity to the Argentine ruins -- the location where Julius Caesar was assassinated. (On a side note: the Argentine ruins are now also a sanctuary for the city's stray cats. My kids _loved_ the cat sanctuary!) The street next to the apartment held many, many pleasant restaurants and pubs. Everything is very tourist-oriented in this area, so if you crave a less touristed environment, you might want to consider a different neighborhood. However, I recommend the Pizzeria Baffetto (very close to the apartment) to anyone. Also, close by is a Carrefour Express for groceries, and several pharmacies.Prices are more reasonable at the nearby restaurants that are not located on the Piazza Navona. I felt those restaurants were not as enjoyable and overpriced. The street does remain noisy until very late at night, so be aware if you are light sleepers. There is a Congolese church right across the street, and we loved hearing their music practices and worship. We attended the Christmas service there. (My French is not good, so I missed a lot of the sermon's details!) The apartment itself was more spacious than I was expecting for Rome, but it is still quite compact by American standards. Everything was in very good condition, and they gave us enough Nespresso capsules to get through our entire week, which is tough to do for an entire family of heavy coffee drinkers! The only actual location problem is the distance to the nearest Metro stop (the Coliseum), but like I mentioned with good walkers in the group, this is not a big deal. There is a taxi stand very close to the apartment, and I found most taxi rides to be very reasonable -- less than 10 Euro for almost every ride we took. Our biggest side trip from the downtown area was going to the Pyramide Metro stop (where there is an actual pyramid built during the time of Marc Antony) where we caught the train to Ostia Antica which is the ancient port for Rome, about a one-hour trip. The ruins at Ostia are better than Pompeii in my opinion, because they are more compact (Ostia is still a full day's exploration! It's big!), and you can get up close to almost everything. Crowds are also much smaller than Pompeii. TL; DR -- I would certainly recommend Italy Perfect and the Pasquino apartment for exploring the history of Rome [Thanks so much, David. Thank you for your recommendations. Agree on Ostia Antica! So right, that location couldn't be more central for tourism. The subway in Rome is very limited, so you can use buses, or, as you found out, taxis are convenient and reasonably priced. Please come again! The ItalyPerfect Team]"

"We were thrilled with the Serenata apartment in Venice. We were greeted by Paola who did a through check-in with us making sure everything in the apartment was in order. The apartment was even better than the pictures! There were high quality fixtures throughout which added to the beautiful antiques that surround you in the apartment. The views from the terrace were spectacular along with the views of the canals out of each window. The location of the apartment could not be more perfect. Its central location next to St. Mark's Square is ideal for first time visitors to Venice. There is also a gondola dock right next to the apartment for easy access. A full service grocery store is only a few streets away. This is helpful if you like to cook some of your meals in the apartment. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware needed to prepare a multi-course meal. We highly recommend this apartment and Italy Perfect. The company exhibited a high level of professionalism by answering all our questions promptly and sending a lot of information to make sure that the check-in and overall trip went well.[Thank you so much, Kelly! "We rented Giotto and Medici for our family of 13 over Christmas. With 9 adults and 4 children we couldn't have been happier! Both apartments were beautiful, and overlooking the wonderful Piazza Santa Croce! The apartment was so perfectly and centrally located to museums, grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping. Everything was within easy walking distance. Fantastic !!!! [Thank you so much Deborah. We are delighted you and your family had such a lovely holiday. The Italy Perfect Team]"

"We rented Medici along with Giotto for our family of 13 over Christmas. It was truly like living in a palace ! The apartment was huge but cozy, and had plenty of space for 9 adults and 4 children to dine and "hang out!" The kitchen was incredibly well appointed! (There was even a food mill! ) We were able to cook dinner for Christmas Eve, Christmas , and two other evenings with ease! Grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants were all within easy walking distance. All this and overlooking the beautiful Piazza Santa Croce! [Thank you so much Deborah. Casetta Bonsi

Casetta Bonsi

"My husband and I spent a week at Casetta Bonsi and it is all that is advertised. This was our 5 time in Florence so we decided to stay across the river. We were greeted by Mauricio who told us everything we needed to know about the place and gave us a history of it as well. Ask him about it, it's a great story. Located just up small hill (walking it burned off our pasta and wine every night!) from the Ponte Vecchio, Bonsi has a well equipped kitchen, well lit bathroom and cozy bedroom. Since we spent a month in Italy, certain things were important: a dresser to put clothes and a place to hang some, a washer. Drying is not bad in winter if you put clothes on towel warmer or near a heater on a drying rack. The kitchen had what we needed...mostly. If you like ice, you can buy disposal bags at store to make it. There is a great grocery store down the hill and many restaurants nearby as well. It is decidedly less touristy on the other side of the river which is a plus as well. But a short walk across. Totally recommend touring Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. Restaurants: Gusta Pizza is nearby as is one of our favorites, Pandemonio. Couple of things to keep in mind - you might have to pay a bit more for electricity at the end especially in winter but considering the price for the place, it's a a small amount. Make sure you read all from Italy Perfect - they do a great job of telling you what you need to know.[Thank you for your repeat business. It's always a pleasure to have you as our guest. Perfect location and great apartment, but what makes it even more spectacular are the hosts. We stayed in the apartment from Dec 28 until Jan 1. Florence was filled with tourists and new year's eve partyers. Our hosts, Miki and Franco, tried to unsuccessfully reserve a cab the night before for our early January 1st airport departure due to all of the partyers still filling the streets. Instead - they suggested we get up early and call. Time was winding down, it was 5 am and we were desperate to get ot the airport. As a last resort, we called Franco. Without a fuss he picked us up and drove us to the airport. Both Miki and Franco took excellent care of us and made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend this apartment for your stay in Florence. [Thank you so much for your appreciation that Miki & Franco went above and beyond to make your stay wonderful! We sincerely appreciate your lovely feedback. The Italy Perfect Team]

"We are headed to the airport after an awesome few days in Roma. The apartment was amazing and definitely exceeded our expectations. The weather was great, too. "I heartily agree with all of the superlative reviews of the Tesoro apartment. The only thing I can add is that I had the most restful nights there, with vivid and beautiful dreams. I awoke each morning smiling and delighted. It is a wonderful home, and I felt so happy to "live" there for two weeks. It is the perfect place to stay in Florence, close enough to walk everywhere, but in a secret and silent courtyard. The hostess was incredibly generous with her time and her treasure. My favorite ristorante in Florence is Sostanza, must call for reservations. [I am enjoying Tesoro with you, Cathleen! Thank you. The Italy Perfect Team]"

"We stayed in the Prisco apartment for six nights in early November. Our charming hosts were on hand to welcome us when we arrived and took great pains to show us everything that we needed to know about the apt and surrounding area. The apartment itself was larger than we had expected and was more than comfortable. The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to see and a very easy walk to the train station. Although there was some street noise it did not bother us at all. Since we were there in late fall the windows were closed at night and we slept very well. We have already recommended Italy Perfect and specifically the PRISCO apartment to a few friends and would certainly stay there again if we returned to Florence. TIP: on a nice day catch the number 15 bus to PIAZZALE MICHELANGELO and have lunch overlooking the city of Florence. After lunch, an easy walk downhill, cross the river and home."

"We booked our trip to Florence through Italy Perfect and that's just what it ended up being. We stayed in the Mimi at Palazzo Antellesi in Piazza Santa Croce for a months stay. The location was excellent. Lots of great sightseeing in the Piazza, especially enjoying it from their outdoor terrace. We actually even got to see the pope during our stay when he drove through the Piazza in his popemobile. The apartment was outfitted with everything you could need. It was very spacious and comfortable and decorated with a very homey Italian flair. The management there was also very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend using Italy Perfect. From beginning to end they were very professional and represented both the property and location accurately. Top Notch! We are already thinking about our next trip to Florence and plan to stay at the Mimi again.[Thank you so much, Denise. How amazing you saw the Pope there! The Italy Perfect Team]"

"You just couldn't be more in the middle of the action in Florence. It's an easy ten minute walk from the train station and one step out the door and you're surrounded by cafes, restaurants and very upscale shopping. We spent our days roaming the streets of Florence visiting churches and galleries, sunsets along the river and evenings rooting out great food and wine. Osteria Pastella, a couple blocks up the street is not to be missed. Our favorite was All Antico Vinaio, just down the street past the Uffizi where you can have a great dinner at night or the best sandwiches in Florence during the day. Miki and Franco were wonderful hosts. They are very thorough with the use of the apartment and building. Italy Perfect is very business-like and provides a lot of information. The apartment is well appointed with two balconies on the courtyard side, a washing machine, king size bed, high ceilings, large bathroom and attractive furnishings--even a kitchen in a cabinet. We only used the kitchen for breakfasts and it was perfectly adequate for that. Some simple cooking would be possible. Negatives? The Wi-Fi was off and on as was the hot water in the shower. Make sure Franco shows you how to adjust the water pressure. We thought getting charged 8-euros for an extra set of towels for a 5-night stay was a little petty. We didn't have arrival times until a few days before and the rental agent got a little intense about our schedule. All minor as far as we're concerned so we would certainly stay at this apartment if we re-visit Florence. [We're so pleased you enjoyed your stay, thank you! Sorry you didn't agree with the extra towel fee, it's common practice in Italy where laundry costs are so high and was part of the information on your arrival page. Apologies we had to follow up with you so many times to get your arrival information, but there is not a full time employee waiting at the apartment all day; the greeter has to be scheduled in advance to ensure you can check in when you arrive. We're glad we got your information last minute so that someone was available when you arrived. The Italy Perfect Team]"

Located in the center of an elegant shopping district, yet a few blocks from the historic Duomo & surrounded by local shops, restaurants & markets .... What could be better? "This is our fifth trip to Bucine and as always we were welcomed and treated royally. We come off season, so we were the only guests at this time, it was very quiet and private. The apartment we rented is for two people and is just perfect with a small fireplace, adequate kitchen with a stove and oven. It is very clean and very well maintained. The staff is always available if you have questions and they have good recommendations. There are many hiking trails if you like that sort of thing, and Florence is and Arezzo are a 30 minute drive away, Cortona is about 45 minutes away. I would recommend shopping in the small shops in downtown Bucine, you need to check the store hours, but they have an excellent meat market and fruit and vegetable market. The Coop store at the top of the hill is not that great. We will definitely return, hopefully next fall. [We so appreciate your repeat business and your fondness for Bucine! The Italy Perfect Team]"

"On the advice of two friends who rented an apartment in Firenze through Italy Perfect in 2013 I did the same for October 2015. For four weeks I stayed in the Palazzo Santa Croce in Firenze in a beautiful apartment on the third floor with a charming sitting room, large southern exposed terrace, small but superb kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The owners of the Palazzo had left nothing to chance; everything was perfect, nothing was missing. It was a joy to return to such lovely surroundings every day. Danish and Scottish friends came to stay, and whether we ate out or in, all was most enjoyable. The location was right on Piazza Santa Croce, within walking distance of everything. I am already planning for my next Italian visit through Italy Perfect. [It was a pleasure to work with you, Benedicte. The Italy Perfect Team]"

"This was a great apartment excellently situated for walking to any site in the city center. We prefer not to eat out every night, and the apartment was perfect for those evenings: the kitchen was very well equipped, the living room was comfortably furnished, and there was ample lighting for reading. In addition, the apartment was immaculate and Maurizio was exceedingly helpful when we called him with questions. This was perhaps the best rental we've ever had in many years of travel in Italy."

"My wife and I spent three days in Florence at the end of October 2015 and stayed at the Strozzi apartment (We paid for four nights but because of a change in our return flight, we were only able to stay for three). The delightful owners, Miki and Franco greeted us on arrival and spent plenty of time showing us how everything worked. Franco also took me for a walk through the neighbourhood and pointed out places to buy food and restaurants to visit. He sent us to Osteria di Giovanni which he said was in his opinion the best restaurant in Florence - it was superb. Franco also arranged for a taxi to pick us up at 4:45am for an early flight. The apartment is somewhat eccentric in its layout but it was nonetheless charming. It is right in the centre of the places that tourist most want to visit - just four or five minutes walk to Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo and slightly farther to the Uffizi. We would love to return some time."

"I enjoyed staying in this charming apartment. This place is very central and yet shielded from traffic noise. Piazza Navona is around a corner with many touristy restaurants. Food markets are near by as well. As far as the apartment is concerned it's a little dated and would benefit from a minor facelift. Caretaker is very quick to address your concerns. I would recommend this apartment for lodging in Rome. [Thank you so much! The Italy Perfect Team]"
