"Casetta Bonsi was a wonderful place to stay during our visit to Florence. It is immensely charming, perfectly laid out and accommodating, and hosted by the friendly and VERY helpful Maurizio and his wife Gabriella. The location, a few steps on the quieter side of Ponte Vecchio, is far enough off the beaten tourist area to feel like living in a Florence neighborhood, but close enough to make it easy to walk to the riches of the city. (The one caveat: It is a short but steep walk up a hill--it is not a place to stay for someone who would find that too much of a challenge. But for us healthy 70-somethings, it was fine.) Here are a few suggestions for things that might be less than obvious in a city jammed with great riches:- Bardini Gardens, further up the hill, is gorgeous and has stunning views of the city.- Two superb restaurants not so well-known: Fishing Lab and Trattorio Sergio Gozzi.- The frescoes by Fra Angelica in the monks' cells on the first floor of San Marco.- The bar food at the back of the bar of the Golden View, just down the street from the Casetta. For €8 you get a flight of three wines and three small bites of delicious appetizer; for another €7-€9 you can choose among tasty small plates. A great place for a very light dinner or pre-dinner outing, with a wonderful view just on the south bank of the Arno. (Note: this is not the Golden View's restaurant, which we did not visit.) Overall: We can't imagine a better place to stay in Florence. We hope to return to this great city some day and would be very disappointed if we couldn't stay at the Casetta. [Thank you Lee and Esther, we are happy you enjoyed staying at the Casetta! The Italy Perfect Team]"

"The apartment was spectacular! Plenty of room for our three generations. We also enjoyed the nice residential area, with its shops and restaurants. it was not necessary to travel back to the city center {so crowded with tourists} to dine out. Your recommended guide was lovely and very knowledgeable, and showed great patience with the teenage girls. Stefano's driver was wonderful also. It was a great trip! Thanks for all your info."

"Excellent experience from start to finish. Professional team that helped us prepare for our trip, and coordinated on site person to meet us at the apartment for check-in. Apartment was clean and well-furnished and in a very convenient location for easy arrival and departure as well as great home base for exploring Venice. Walk to everything very easily St Marks square, grocery, water taxi and bus all are within easy walking distance. [Thank you so much, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]"

"My husband and I and our two teenage children enjoyed five nights at Pasquino at the end of our two week holiday in Italy. The apartment is in an excellent location and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go whilst in Rome. We loved being in the buzz of this neighbourhood and able to walk downstairs to have a coffee, glass of wine or a meal. Whilst the area has a lot of tourists, it did not feel like we were in a touristy area, which was great. We had a lot of great food in the local area and did a fantastic walking food tour via Eating Europe. The apartment itself is very well equipped and being in an old building, has lots of old school Italian charm, which we loved. Staying here felt like a more genuine Roman experience than being in a hotel. My only note about this apartment is that the showers are a bit temperamental. Being in such an old building the hot water took a long time to arrive and it took us quite some time to figure out how to get the temperature right in the showers. It would have been helpful to have some advice on this from our greeter. Overall I would highly recommend a stay here. We would definitely stay again.[Thank you so much for your review, we are pleased you enjoyed staying at the Pasquino and found the location to be excellent. We will remind the greeter to explain how to set the temperature for the shower. The Italy Perfect Team]"

"We have stayed at the Strozzi several times over the years. Its location is convenient for visiting and exploring all of Florence. There is now even a grocery store at the end of the block, in addition to the bakery a few doors down. The apartment is well kept, always clean and very comfortable. Mikki and Franco are fantastic hosts and were very helpful in making our stay a pleasant one. We don't hesitate to recommend this property. Renting an apartment through Italy Perfect was very easy and very organized. "How do you have a special visit to Florence? Start by renting a wonderful villa! Centrally located, the Michaela was 8 minutes or less to everything we wanted to see. The apartment was spacious and offered us the opportunity to relax midday or one in our party could sleep in due to the separate living room, kitchen and two baths! The proximity to the bakery, market and neighborhood type restaurants made for an enjoyable stay. Our day trip to Siena was easy as the bus station was so close. When we departed for Rome, the train was a short distance too! Thanks, too, to our wonderful hosts for opening their family home to travelers! [Thank you Julie, we are happy you enjoyed staying at the Michaela and hope to welcome you again! The Italy Perfect Team]"

"We had a wonderful week at Riposo Verde. The property is not quite as elegant as it appears in the photos; it is actually a bit rustic. But, it is large, comfortable and situated on a quiet plot of land with a garden and fruit trees. We were there in early October and enjoyed fresh tomatoes, yummy Concord grapes and other goodies that we incorporated into meals. The nearest town, San Casciano dei Bagni is delightful but has just one of everything. That said, we did several day trips to Orvieto (a must) and Civita de Bagnoreggio. This was fine for us, as we intended to have a quiet and relaxing trip. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped and made cooking a breeze. One thing you must do here:hire Elenora to make you a fabulous meal (or two). She does everything - shop, cook, serve and clean for the cost of a restaurant meal at La Fontanella. What a treat after a long day of sightseeing! The owner is a wonderful host and did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable. Also, he is a talented professional photographer and took a family photo of us at the end of our week. Riposo Verde is a lovely Tuscan idyll - go and enjoy!! This is our fourth Italy Perfect vacation and we will use them again - properties are well chosen, vetted and Lisa is always ready to be of assistance!!"

"This apartment had wonderful light, was fully equipped, and was in a wonderful location. We enjoyed coffee on the little balcony and having two baths was a plus. Everything you would need is nearby: pharmacy, money exchange, markets, restaurants and bars. The only down side was that the shower did not work properly or else we were not able to get it to work properly. We did get an excellent orientation from Daniela. Italy Perfect was easy and helpful to deal with. I would rent this apartment again. [Thank you very much for your review and for enjoying the apartment and that great neighborhood. We’ll check the shower, for sure. The Italy Perfect Team]"

"My husband and I recently stayed in the Menta apartment for four nights and we are happy to report that it is an absolutely lovely apartment in every way. The location is terrific as it's very near Piazza San Marco and in a very quiet area. There is one, caveat, though. The Westin Hotel is currently doing major construction and the noise and vibration can be heard in the apartment during the day.Fortunately, the workers leave around 5 pm so it is quiet in the evening. The apartment is furnished beautiful and the bed is very comfortable. The apartment is beautifully maintained. The staff, including the secretary who will make dinner reservations, and the housekeeping staff were all extremely gracious and helpful. It is lovely having warm croissants delivered to the apartment daily. It is the only place we want to stay now when I'm in Venice. We highly recommend it at the risk of not being able to reserve it in the future because it is so popular. [Thank you Jan, we are happy you enjoyed staying at the Menta and are sorry for the construction noise during your stay. We look forward to welcoming you again! The Italy Perfect Team]"

"We stayed in an apartment on the top floor of the Palazzo Antellesi on the Piazza Santa Croce in Florence. The apartment (Miravista) was extremely comfortable and spacious and had a wonderful outside terrace overlooking the piazza and Santa Croce church. This location is slightly off the beaten track, which made it even more desirable, but still easily walkable to all the sights of Florence. It was nicely fitted out with all the appliances you could want, and everything worked and appeared to be well maintained. Several nearby neighborhood restaurants that we would recommend are Osteria Dei Pazzi (Via Dei Lavatoi), Osteria de' Benci (Borgo Santa Croce), and both Cibreo and Trattoria Cibreo (Via Del Verrocchio). We would definitely recommend Italy Perfect to our friends (as we would Paris Perfect, which we first used in 2001). [Thank you Jane, we are happy you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you again! The Italy Perfect Team]"

"We just spent 4 nights at Borgo Ronda and wish we could have stayed longer! It is a beautiful property with lovely, well-maintained grounds offering breathtaking views, and cozy and inviting accommodations. There were 4 of us and we shared a charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath apartment with rooms that were spacious and clean. The kitchen was well-equipped, and there was a large wood-burning fireplace in the living room which added to the overall warmth and character of the place. It's a little off the beaten path - you do need a car to get to the nearby village for restaurants and supplies - but after a day of wine tasting or sightseeing and shopping, this place is a peaceful, relaxing retreat. Lorena, our greeter, was so gracious and helpful and extremely responsive to all our questions and requests. We loved it - the next time we plan a trip to Tuscany, we won't stay anywhere else![Thank you Mary Ann, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay! "We had six enjoyable, comfortable nights in the Serenata apartment. Everything was as advertised or better. We greatly enjoyed the terrace/deck that gave us a wonderfully entertaining view of two busy canals below. The apartment is in a modern, clean building in a bustling neighborhood. There is easy access to a grocery store and many cafes and restaurants. Despite its location near Piazza San Marco, the apartment is very quiet. We heard no noise once we closed the windows and the door to the deck. We were greeted by Paola. She was most hospitable and welcoming and gave us a thorough tour through the apartment, explaining everything in detail. She then took us on a walk to the supermarket and pointed out shops and restaurants. We had called her the day before we arrived and she gave us clear and explicit instructions as to where to meet her. She was prompt and did not keep us waiting. We couldn't have had a more worry-free arrival and departure. There was no uncertainty; Paola was right there when she said she'd be. Part of staying in Venice is the experience of wandering the streets and alleys and getting lost. That was mostly a pleasant experience, but we learned not to trust Google Maps to get us to our destination. It's a good idea to have a paper map to compare with what's on your phone. We would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment, and we are grateful to Paola for her gracious welcome and her thorough explanations of the apartment and the neighborhood. "This property was immensely comfortable and very tastefully furnished with room to spare for four adults. A major bonus was the constant supply of bottled water (both still and sparkling) which is invaluable plus the most amazing homemade croissants that were delivered warm each morning at precisely eight am. The local contact person also saved us from a potentially disastrous outing to one of the islands with her advice that on the weekend we might wait hours trying to catch a vaporetto back. The location is superb and I highly recommend wandering other neighborhoods such as Cannareggio to get a true Venetian experience. We have now worked with the Perfect family in three different countries and I would recommend them without reservations. They are a professional, prompt and quality oriented operation with a keen sense of customer service.[Thank you so much Greg, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you again! "Location, location, location! It was a great location. Close to everything and such nice people who owned the apartment. Franco was very helpful and easy to work with - when you had a request, he was Johnny on the Spot. Very convenient - Three steps to the bakery and about 7 steps to a local restaurant Trattoria Marione (I ate there 3-4 times, reasonable and really delicious); also close to a small grocery store and another good restaurant La Spada. Restaurants don't open till 7:00 pm for dinner. Taxi from the airport was about 25 euros and efficient. Walked most everywhere else - really easy and convenient. Apartment was good - small kitchen but very useful and two bathrooms - air conditioning and the elevator worked. My daughter who stayed a few days said the sofa was a lot better sleeping than she thought it would be. I used Veronica Ranucci as a guide and she was delightful - I can highly recommend her. It was a great trip and I would definitely recommend the apartment and Italy Perfect. I will be back! [Thank you Barbara, we are happy you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]"

"Franco and Miki were charming hosts. They explained everything we needed to know about the apartment and surroundings, as well as recommending some great restaurants, it's obvious they know the area well. The apartment was extremely clean, well equipped and centrally located. The double pane windows in the master bedroom kept the master dark and quiet even though we were in the middle of the city. Our favorite mornings were spent taking a short walk (about 8-10 minutes) to Mercato Centrale to have an espresso and watch the vendors set up. This market is one of the best we've been to in Europe. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or use Italy Perfect. [Thank you Mark and Sharon, we are happy you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]"

"Regina Alta is amazing place to get-away with friends and family. I chose the property for the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and most importantly the unbelievable pool. The location was perfect for settling in for a 3 week visit. The town of Monsummano Terme, which is where the house is located (very close to Montecatini) was charming, with many great places to eat. We shopped at the weekly market, impressive in size and fresh produce offerings. Pizza and pasta are not to be missed at Sotta Grotta (ate there 4 times) and if you want meat, go to Il Mailletto (ate there 2 times). They also have yummy Pappa al Pomodoro (tomato bread soup) and Riboletta (vegetable bread soup). Just 1 km from the villa, up another steep hill in Monsummano Alto is La Foresteria, another great restaurant with beautiful views of Montecatini Terme (ate there 3 times). Fried Polenta bits were ordered every time! The main town of Montecatini Terme, is about a 10 minute drive from the villa. It's a large city with plenty of restaurants, high end shopping and a Funicular that takes you to the top of Montecatini Alto. Osteria di Poneta was another favorite restaurant in Montecatini Terme. Lucca was a 30 minute drive away and Florence was about 45 minutes. We also visited 2 wine regions: Monte Carlo (15 minute drive) and Bolgheri (75 minute drive). Both great wine regions to try if you've already been to the Chianti region. Special tours I found were in Lucca. A 5 hour market tour and cooking class with chef Giuseppe Mazzocchi from Extra Virgin Cooking was so much fun. We cooked, ate and got to take home the recipes. Lucca Bread Kitchen taught my husband and I how to bake olive bread, Grissini and Focaccia. Upon arrival to Regina Alta, my husband and I met the owners, Anne and Alessandro. They were warm and friendly and took us on a tour of the entire property. The place was exactly as the pictures on the Italy Perfect web site. The bedrooms were spacious and all the beds comfortable. There are shutters on all the windows to keep out the heat, but they were all screened in as well and let in a ton of fresh air.I was surprised to find an American sized washer and separate dryer. I was expecting a European washer/dryer all in one. It was a great bonus for us and all of our guests that were passing through. The kitchen, while large, is not quite set up for guests who like to cook. The stove was large and professional - make sure you ask how to use it and get specifics. My husband and I love to cook, but still had problems getting the oven lit and getting the oven fan to shut off. Counter tops for prepping don't exist, but we used the large kitchen table instead. All the small appliances sit in one corner of the kitchen with the dish washer. So in the morning when you want to make coffee, toast bread, use the microwave, grab the salt, sugar, etc while emptying the dishwasher there was a bit of a traffic jam. Nothing really can be done to change this arrangement, so you enjoy the quirkiness that is part of the villa experience. Also, if you like to cook, I suggest bringing your own chef knife and maybe a paring knife or 2. The owners purchased a knife set that was fine, but all the other knives that were in the house we old, dull and stored in what we labeled the junk drawer that housed anything and every utensil you would need in a kitchen. My husband also makes homemade pasta and when we asked about a rolling pin, the owners happily retrieved it from the other property (regina bella) next door. Maybe guests don't make homemade pasta, but each property should have their own rolling pin. There is a charcoal grill which we used often and most meals were eaten outside, in front of the house, where there was a large picnic table and the best sunsets. If you are with large groups, I recommend hiring the catering service/chef to come in and cook for your group. Ars Libandi was the name and they are directly connected to the owners. They have plenty of menus. We asked for a few substitutions and they were flexible. Plenty of left overs for other meals. If you are going to pay for the chef, spend a bit extra for the serving and clean up. You'll feel like royalty. The weather during our stay was perfect, but one of our chef meals was inside at the majestic dining room table. With the windows open, it was another lovely space for a special dinner. Now on to the pool - the main attraction of this property. It's not only the pool, but the vistas and places to sit and enjoy the scenery. Umbrella table outside seats 8 and there are plenty of chairs and lounges for your guests. I figured out how far it was to swim a mile (100 laps) and started or ended most days with a private swim. When I wasn't swimming for exercise, there were enough rafts and tubes to float around with your guests. While you have neighbors on both sides of the property, the grounds are very private. While touring was fine, the main focus of this vacation was living and entertaining in an Italian villa - which is what I did for 75% of this trip. This property was my dream come true. I am so happy I found Italy Perfect when planning my big 50 birthday celebration. Don't wait to book Regina Alta if it's your dream! I reserved my 3 week stay, 1 1/2 years in advance and I had to adjust by trip by one week due to another reservations that beat me to it. Pat, one of the 2 owners of Italy Perfect was always available to me via email or phone. Someone always got back to me quickly. They answered all my questions and when they didn't have the answers, they spoke to the owners and got them. Working with Italy Perfect gave me piece of mind so I could have a relaxing vacation. There were really no surprises when I arrived. [Thank you so much Carol, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]"

"I highly recommend this apartment when in Venice! Great location, close to everything but quiet at night! The apartment is very well appointed and is perfect for one or two people. The outside space is magical overlooking the canals below. The Greeter, Paola, was so charming and helpful! We instantly liked her and her recommendations for dinner were superb! If you are a foodie, don't miss going to Ai Mercanti. It's a little tricky to find but it is so delicious and the service was terrific!Overall the communications with Italy Perfect was great. The information they provided was very helpful. Will definitely use Italy Perfect and book this apartment next time! [Thank you Alfred, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]"

"My husband and I spent 8 nights at the Casetta Bonsi at the end of September, 2018.If we come back to Florence, we definitely would hope to stay at the Casetta again.Maurizio, the owner, met us for check-in and departure. He is a charming host and had great suggestions for nearby “hidden gem” restaurants. He also arranged to have a taxi there for us at checkout. The apartment itself is great for 2 people and could easily accommodate 1 or 2 more (using the pull-out bed downstairs) if you are willing to share the one bathroom. Everything is spotlessly clean and up-to-date and the bed was great. We had a few unseasonably warm days during our stay and the air conditioning quickly brought both upstairs and downstairs areas to a comfortable temperature when we returned. There was very little street noise (only the sound of an occasional moped coming or going). We slept very well. After spending a week in the Oltrarno district, that it is only area of Florence where we would choose to stay on a return visit. A 15 minute walk will reach any of the tourist sites in Central Florence. Meanwhile, after a day in the crowds across the river, we found great restaurants, enoteca’s, shops, and, of course, gelato on the quiet side. The only caution I would offer is that the uphill walk to the apartment is steep as mentioned in the property description. It shouldn’t present a problem for anyone who can climb a few flights of stairs but is probably not the best choice for someone with mobility issues since the bedroom and bathroom are also on the upper floor of the apartment.Other nice amenities provided were a small wall safe (nice place to store passports) and a security alarm. Maurizio also greeted our arrival with a plate of fresh fruit and a nice bottle of Chianti.[Thank you Martha, we are delighted you enjoyed staying at the Casetta Bonsi and hope to welcome you again!
