"Franco and Miki were charming hosts. They explained everything we needed to know about the apartment and surroundings, as well as recommending some great restaurants, it's obvious they know the area well. The apartment was extremely clean, well equipped and centrally located. The double pane windows in the master bedroom kept the master dark and quiet even though we were in the middle of the city. Our favorite mornings were spent taking a short walk (about 8-10 minutes) to Mercato Centrale to have an espresso and watch the vendors set up. This market is one of the best we've been to in Europe. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or use Italy Perfect. [Thank you Mark and Sharon, we are happy you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]"

Regina Alta

Regina Alta

"Regina Alta is amazing place to get-away with friends and family. I chose the property for the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and most importantly the unbelievable pool. The location was perfect for settling in for a 3 week visit. The town of Monsummano Terme, which is where the house is located (very close to Montecatini) was charming, with many great places to eat. We shopped at the weekly market, impressive in size and fresh produce offerings. Pizza and pasta are not to be missed at Sotta Grotta (ate there 4 times) and if you want meat, go to Il Mailletto (ate there 2 times). They also have yummy Pappa al Pomodoro (tomato bread soup) and Riboletta (vegetable bread soup). Just 1 km from the villa, up another steep hill in Monsummano Alto is La Foresteria, another great restaurant with beautiful views of Montecatini Terme (ate there 3 times). Fried Polenta bits were ordered every time! The main town of Montecatini Terme, is about a 10 minute drive from the villa. It's a large city with plenty of restaurants, high end shopping and a Funicular that takes you to the top of Montecatini Alto. Osteria di Poneta was another favorite restaurant in Montecatini Terme. Lucca was a 30 minute drive away and Florence was about 45 minutes. We also visited 2 wine regions: Monte Carlo (15 minute drive) and Bolgheri (75 minute drive). Both great wine regions to try if you've already been to the Chianti region. Special tours I found were in Lucca. A 5 hour market tour and cooking class with chef Giuseppe Mazzocchi from Extra Virgin Cooking was so much fun. We cooked, ate and got to take home the recipes. Lucca Bread Kitchen taught my husband and I how to bake olive bread, Grissini and Focaccia. Upon arrival to Regina Alta, my husband and I met the owners, Anne and Alessandro. They were warm and friendly and took us on a tour of the entire property. The place was exactly as the pictures on the Italy Perfect web site. The bedrooms were spacious and all the beds comfortable. There are shutters on all the windows to keep out the heat, but they were all screened in as well and let in a ton of fresh air.I was surprised to find an American sized washer and separate dryer. I was expecting a European washer/dryer all in one. It was a great bonus for us and all of our guests that were passing through. The kitchen, while large, is not quite set up for guests who like to cook. The stove was large and professional - make sure you ask how to use it and get specifics. My husband and I love to cook, but still had problems getting the oven lit and getting the oven fan to shut off. Counter tops for prepping don't exist, but we used the large kitchen table instead. All the small appliances sit in one corner of the kitchen with the dish washer. So in the morning when you want to make coffee, toast bread, use the microwave, grab the salt, sugar, etc while emptying the dishwasher there was a bit of a traffic jam. Nothing really can be done to change this arrangement, so you enjoy the quirkiness that is part of the villa experience. Also, if you like to cook, I suggest bringing your own chef knife and maybe a paring knife or 2. The owners purchased a knife set that was fine, but all the other knives that were in the house we old, dull and stored in what we labeled the junk drawer that housed anything and every utensil you would need in a kitchen. My husband also makes homemade pasta and when we asked about a rolling pin, the owners happily retrieved it from the other property (regina bella) next door. Maybe guests don't make homemade pasta, but each property should have their own rolling pin. There is a charcoal grill which we used often and most meals were eaten outside, in front of the house, where there was a large picnic table and the best sunsets. If you are with large groups, I recommend hiring the catering service/chef to come in and cook for your group. Ars Libandi was the name and they are directly connected to the owners. They have plenty of menus. We asked for a few substitutions and they were flexible. Plenty of left overs for other meals. If you are going to pay for the chef, spend a bit extra for the serving and clean up. You'll feel like royalty. The weather during our stay was perfect, but one of our chef meals was inside at the majestic dining room table. With the windows open, it was another lovely space for a special dinner. Now on to the pool - the main attraction of this property. It's not only the pool, but the vistas and places to sit and enjoy the scenery. Umbrella table outside seats 8 and there are plenty of chairs and lounges for your guests. I figured out how far it was to swim a mile (100 laps) and started or ended most days with a private swim. When I wasn't swimming for exercise, there were enough rafts and tubes to float around with your guests. While you have neighbors on both sides of the property, the grounds are very private. While touring was fine, the main focus of this vacation was living and entertaining in an Italian villa - which is what I did for 75% of this trip. This property was my dream come true. I am so happy I found Italy Perfect when planning my big 50 birthday celebration. Don't wait to book Regina Alta if it's your dream! I reserved my 3 week stay, 1 1/2 years in advance and I had to adjust by trip by one week due to another reservations that beat me to it. Pat, one of the 2 owners of Italy Perfect was always available to me via email or phone. Someone always got back to me quickly. They answered all my questions and when they didn't have the answers, they spoke to the owners and got them. Working with Italy Perfect gave me piece of mind so I could have a relaxing vacation. There were really no surprises when I arrived. [Thank you so much Carol, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]"

"I highly recommend this apartment when in Venice! Great location, close to everything but quiet at night! The apartment is very well appointed and is perfect for one or two people. The outside space is magical overlooking the canals below. The Greeter, Paola, was so charming and helpful! We instantly liked her and her recommendations for dinner were superb! If you are a foodie, don't miss going to Ai Mercanti. It's a little tricky to find but it is so delicious and the service was terrific!Overall the communications with Italy Perfect was great. The information they provided was very helpful. Will definitely use Italy Perfect and book this apartment next time! [Thank you Alfred, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]"

Casetta Bonsi

Casetta Bonsi

"My husband and I spent 8 nights at the Casetta Bonsi at the end of September, 2018.If we come back to Florence, we definitely would hope to stay at the Casetta again.Maurizio, the owner, met us for check-in and departure. He is a charming host and had great suggestions for nearby “hidden gem” restaurants. He also arranged to have a taxi there for us at checkout. The apartment itself is great for 2 people and could easily accommodate 1 or 2 more (using the pull-out bed downstairs) if you are willing to share the one bathroom. Everything is spotlessly clean and up-to-date and the bed was great. We had a few unseasonably warm days during our stay and the air conditioning quickly brought both upstairs and downstairs areas to a comfortable temperature when we returned. There was very little street noise (only the sound of an occasional moped coming or going). We slept very well. After spending a week in the Oltrarno district, that it is only area of Florence where we would choose to stay on a return visit. A 15 minute walk will reach any of the tourist sites in Central Florence. Meanwhile, after a day in the crowds across the river, we found great restaurants, enoteca’s, shops, and, of course, gelato on the quiet side. The only caution I would offer is that the uphill walk to the apartment is steep as mentioned in the property description. It shouldn’t present a problem for anyone who can climb a few flights of stairs but is probably not the best choice for someone with mobility issues since the bedroom and bathroom are also on the upper floor of the apartment.Other nice amenities provided were a small wall safe (nice place to store passports) and a security alarm. Maurizio also greeted our arrival with a plate of fresh fruit and a nice bottle of Chianti.[Thank you Martha, we are delighted you enjoyed staying at the Casetta Bonsi and hope to welcome you again! "

The Bardi apartment is a real jewel.  Even though it is located in a busy area of Florence, it is a quiet and beautiful oasis and the balcony is amazing! The apartment is well-appointed with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. It is located in the Oltrarno district, south of the river which, after 4 visits to Florence, it is my favorite area. It is quieter and you can meet some very kind Italian folks who live in the neighborhoods. It is so interesting to visit the artisans of Florence who keep alive the traditional art and craftsmanship in their workshops. As always, Italy Perfect did an amazing job with advanced preparation information and coordination with our wonderful greeter. I would not even consider renting a property from any other company. You always get exactly what you are expecting or even better!  [Thank you, Sandra, we look forward to welcoming you again! The Italy Perfect Team]

Panorama

"

Villa Panorama lived up to our expectations and we had a most enjoyable week there. It has excellent facilities with more than enough room for a group of 8 to 10 people. I would highly recommend it. That said I have high expectations for such a place given the cost and these were not met in several small ways. This comes from not ensuring that over time all facilities are maintained to a high standard. Examples: insufficient wine glasses (attended to immediately by the manager); terrible pillows; no toiletries at all; light above the stove out etc. My main concern was that the English speaking greeter was not there to greet us, instead a lovely gentleman who spoke no English. It must be realised that travellers spend huge money on these places and look forward to the stay immensely. If it is not “perfect” especially on arrival then the enjoyment of the stay is diminished.Fix these little things up and Villa P would be outstanding. I would highly recommend Italy Perfect. [Thank you very much for your review. We are delighted you had an enjoyable week. We are so sorry that the English speaking manager had an unexpected and last-minute true emergency and had to send someone who didn’t speak English. As you wrote before, she was there the next day and organized everything for you. The Italy Perfect Team]

"The owners, Maurizio and Gabrielle, provided a warm welcome upon our arrival. Maurizio gave us a complete understanding of all the features of the home as well as providing detailed info on local shops, restaurants and points of interest. He was also very helpful in arranging transportation to and from the train station. The house itself is well appointed and provides all the comforts of home. It is also just minutes away from the Ponte Vecchio and other historical sites. When we return to Florence there will be one place we will want to stay and that will be Maurizio’s home."

Serenata

"The Sereneta is a charming apt, with all the modern conveniences but still with venitian decor and views. The rooftop terrace is wonderful, a lovely place for a morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine. Even the garbage barge or dhl delivery boat are quaint, illustrating how venitians cope with modern day life. The location was good, not far from the grand canal and st marks but away from the noise. Grocery stores, cheese shops and places to buy wine were nearby. We went to several cities in Italy, and Venice was the highlight of our stay. Perhaps Italy Perfect could reserve a water taxi in advance, making getting to the apt easier w/luggage or have the greeter meet guests at the train station. Perhaps the greeter should call the guests to confirm the arrival time, introduce herself, take a little bit of the travel burden off the traveler. But I would recommend Italy Perfect based on the accommodations we rented in Rome and Venice. Apartments just give you a little more room than a hotel suite. Ciao from Italy.[We are delighted you enjoyed your stay at the Serenata apartment. Thank you for the suggestion to have us arrange water taxis & meet guests at the train station. We used to offer the service of reserving a water taxi for this apartment but never got any takers; we thought it was because of the additional reservation fee. We do include arrangement of water taxi service for our luxury Venice apartments and could consider adding that service to the more affordable apartments. The greeter doesn’t wait at the station or airport for guests because of travel delays that frequently occur, which is why the guests call the greeter with arrival updates as we indicated to you, however that is another paid service we could add. "This apartment was unbelievable!!! We walked to all the main attractions and just a short cab ride to the Coliseum. "As with many of the reviews, the central location was perfect. The unit was neat and clean and spacious for our family including 3 teenagers. The owners took the time to explain everything as well as make some restaurant recommendations and went beyond to go with my husband to the parking lot down the street for our car - explaining the area on their walk back. They were accessible during our stay for any questions that came up. The detailed information about the unit and area as well as Italian customs from Italy Perfect were very helpful. Have already recommended the apartment to other friends traveling to Florence this year. Would stay here again. [Thank you so much, we are pleased you enjoyed staying at the Prisco! "Just wanted to follow up and tell you how very much I appreciated your advice. The Princess Paolina apartment was just great for our first few days in Rome. Great location, very clean & well stocked with refreshments. Francesco met us & was very helpful. Gave us maps, familiarized us with apt, made us dinner reservations. Perfetto! I’m so glad we listened to friends and called Italy Perfect. Millie grazie!"

"Barbara greeted us with a large shopping bag filled with goodies (including wine and beer!) a very touching and unexpected welcome. The apartment is in a terrific residential location; walking distance to the Vatican, Piazza del Popolo and Spanish steps, and a block from two of Rome's best gelatterias. The rooms and beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked and bathrooms very functional. There were a couple of odd design flaws - kitchen cabinets that opened left to right, a bathroom sink faucet that was at an awkward height, and no place to put a bar of soap inside one of the showers, but these are minor quibbles and did not detract at all from the gracious lay out and comfort. Apart from the gelato, we highly recommend La Pratolina for pizza, but be sure to reserve. [Thank you so much, we are happy you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]"

"We were right in the middle of old Florence. The apartment was clean and comfortable. It was walking distance from almost everything: the sites, food, and shopping. The owners were friendly and helpful. They gave great advice on restaurants, where to buy groceries, when to visit the sites, and even helped us hire a driver for an out of town trip. This apartment was recommended to us by friends and we would recommend it to others."
