"While we had high hopes for our family week in Florence with our 3 grown up children; Miravista clearly exceeded our expectations. It was a very comfortable, nicely understated decorated, with good 2 1/2 bathrooms and ample kitchen, sunny penthouse.While it had a good modern elevator, other than the day we arrived and departed with the luggage, the 5 of us (age 63, 61, our children 34, 31 and 29) always preferred the fun of enjoying to walk up and down the 92 steps; particularly after a nice dinner.Unfortunately, the weather was a bit cold as to enjoy the beautiful terrace overlooking the Plaza and the mountains; if it were spring or summer we would have spent long hours there... Waking up and having a leisure breakfast in front of the large window and terrace overlooking the Plaza was a fantastic way to start the day. The restaurant below was one of the best we had and at good prices; the owners and staff were incredibly friendly; we spent new year's eve with them. The location was great; just a 3 block walk to most of the landmarks...and yet quiet enough from the bulk of the tourists. Finally, the host was very educated and made our checkin / checkout a breeze. In addition, Pat Byrne was incredibly friendly and efficient and was making sure our reservation, paperwork and itinerary was up to date....Thank you Pat & Madelyne! "Our family of 5 had the most perfect stay at this property over the Christmas and New Year holidays. The owner clearly knows how to accommodate every need with organic bath soaps and shampoo, fluffy towels, bathrobes, a basketful of hairdryers, first aid kit, and a well outfitted kitchen for quick breakfasts or a night in. Art and history books are carefully laid out on the coffee table, little dishes of Italian candy are in each room, as well as subtly scented diffusers that do not overwhelm like air fresheners from back at home. There is absolutely no clutter. The penthouse is spotless, and is cleanest rental we’ve come across in all of our travels. We enjoyed having so much space for privacy and to come together to read and chat. Be sure to book the additional expense for the sauna. It was very convenient and easy to use after a long day sightseeing and walking. This is a professionally maintained rental property and the expertise shows from our communications, checking in and out, to the generous pantry basics on our arrival. We were greeted with a basket of dried fruit, Prosecco, pastries, and a fridge filled with eggs, milk, juice, butter, and prosciutto. It was so nice to have this all on hand for our first breakfast, slowly eating and watching Florence come to life through the windows. And because we enjoy the noise that comes with an urban center, we opened the window a bit to hear people walking by, Vespas zooming along, and shopkeepers beginning their day. No guidebook could have prepared us for the exceptional view of Florence’s skyline. The photos in the property listing are accurate, but to see the sunrise and sunset over the rooftops and church was an experience we will never forget. We were lucky to catch glimpses of the New Year’s Eve fireworks as well as an incredible New Year concert at Theater Verdi just across the street. Our stay was so easy, we didn’t have to make extra runs for supplies or worry about anything really, but just enjoy all that Florence offers."

"This charming apartment is really well located - easy walk to all of the most interesting parts of Florence. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is well provisioned so that it is easy to eat at home. Every aspect of the apartment is comfortable. The building is secure. Our hosts were charming and directed us to very good restaurants nearby. We loved it and we loved Florence."

The accommodations were perfect for 3 couples with both privacy within each unit and the ability to be together in the larger Strozzi unit for meals and Christmas dinner. The units are located on a very busy street, close to every type of restaurant and shop the city offers. And, it is all just steps from Piazza della Repubblica, and a couple blocks more from there to the Duomo. The owners were attentive and accommodating - bringing us extra dining chairs for the 6 of us to share meals together in the large and well appointed kitchen in Prisco; gifting us with a Panettone at Christmas and offering many suggestions for restaurants and shopping. "We loved our stay in Casetta Bonsi! This is a charming place, very quiet even if very close to Ponte Vecchio. The owner Maurizio was very welcoming and helpful with his suggestions. The house is beautifully decorated and rich of history. Our daily breakfast on the terrace was a real pleasure!"

We stayed in the Valentina apartment in the Spanish Steps area of Rome during the week of Dec 14. The apartment was amazing - beautiful, in a perfect location, a working gas fireplace (we used this everyday - not because we were cold but just for the atmosphere) and just very charming. It was literally around the block from the Spanish Steps (and fyi - there is a metro stop right at the Spanish Steps) and the area was perfect - if we opened the windows we could hear street musicians when they came out at night (eg, opera, sax players) which I loved. ItalyPerfect was great for us - they provided all the necessary information plus more and the greeter was very kind and accommodating and spent a lot time going over all the information in the area plus the apartment. Her restaurant recommendations were very good especially Osteria 31 which was delicious and very authentic. We were just down the street from a food store and bakery which we went to each morning. In addition, we used the driver service and tour guides recommended by Italy Perfect and all were amazing. I would definitely recommend Italy Perfect and the Valentina apartment.

"Amazing hospitality. Communication was always prompt and kind. Sparkling clean. We visited in December and the heating worked really well. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The best thing is the location. This is one of the best areas in Rome for site seeing, and eating. Do not hesitate. The location is perfect."

"This four bedroom, four and a half bathroom fully functional apartment has been recently upgraded and is beautifully and comfortably furnished. The location is central to everything - just a block from the Piazza di Santa Croce. It is an easy walk to many of the main attractions of Florence. There is a wonderful view of the rooftops of Florence as well as the Duomo from the living room in the apartment. We were traveling with 6 people including my 87 year old father-in-law. The elevator was therefore very useful as it is a fourth floor apartment. Also, because of the central location we were able to return to the apartment easily when we needed a rest. The bedrooms are comfortable and the hospitality was outstanding. We met with the owners and they gave us a wonderful tour of the apartment and many great recommendations for eating in Florence as well as directions to the nearest store for groceries. They had stocked the kitchen with some basic food items for us as well as a celebratory bottle of prosecco! The apartment comes with a maid who comes for two hours a day to clean if wanted. There is a functional washer and dryer which was quite handy. The owners are available to communicate with when needed. The apartment is on a busy street and street noise can be heard from some of the night clubs at night especially on the weekends. The owners have installed heavy glass windows and heavy shades that cover the windows which helps. Italy Perfect was very helpful in coordinating our stay and I would recommend them without hesitation. [Thank you for your lovely review John! "We loved our stay in Florence. Memoria is located right at the end of the the Ponte Vecchio bridge....the location was perfect for us. Since it's close to the bridge you do hear some street noise but nothing that kept us awake. We enjoyed the sounds of the city and the street music that occurred most nights. And most everything was within walking distance. We were fortunate to be in Florence when the marathon was taking place. Our balcony provided us with a birds eye view of the runners as they crossed over the Ponte Vecchio. Exciting! Florence has so much to offer in culture, eating experiences and shopping. A few of the restaurants we enjoyed are Mangiafoco Osteria, La Galleria, and Rooster Firenze. I would recommend you trying them all! The apartment was roomy, clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed. Our greeter, Isabel, was very nice, provided us with all the necessary information and was available if we needed to reach out. "We had a wonderful week at the Zegno apartment. As a family of 6 (2 parents, 2 older children, 2 grandparents), the apartment provided ample space for everyone. The washer and especially the clothes dryer were great benefits, as we travelled during a rainy week. The location is superlative: the predominantly pedestrian streets in this neighborhood are great for shopping and an evening passeggiata. The apartment is only a few minutes walk from the metro and from a taxi stand, making it very convenient to travel to all parts of the city.The area has a number of great restaurants for meals or an aperitivo prior to dinner.We can't recommend the Zegno apartment highly enough. "What a delightful apartment in historic Florence. We stayed seven weeks in the Donatello Apartment and enjoyed its charm, beauty, and convenience. Situated on Piazza Santa Croce, the apartment was convenient to walk all over Florence, but enough off the beaten path to feel like a real residence and not a tourist spot. This is the second time I have stayed in this apartment - the Ginevra. It is close to the Spanish Steps, the taxis stop, great shopping and restaurants. The apartment itself is great with two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. Plus the kitchen and wash machine. I love it and the amenities. There is also a third room with a sofa that could be used as a third bedroom for a child. Anyway close to everything I wanted and an elevator what more could you want!!!

"We have only wonderful things to say about this charming, comfortable and delightful apartment with the PERFECT terrace overlooking Piazza Santa Croce! My daughter and I spent a month here and we adored Mimi and did not want to leave. The photos on the website are accurate, but it's even more inviting in person. It is not overly grand, no frescoes on the ceilings like some of the other apartments in this building, but it's warm, welcoming and very comfortable......and its crowning glory is the large, private terrace with multi-million dollar views.Stepping out onto that terrace every day (with the Santa Croce Basilica to your right, views of the the hills of Fiesole over the rooftops directly ahead and the Duomo to your left) was like living in dream. Or a Merchant/Ivory film. Simply glorious! Being able to step out onto that terrace at any time of the day or night, watch the sunrise, see the sunset, dine outside, have a glass of wine looking out over the city and seeing and hearing all the life buzzing around you was priceless. We loved hearing the bells and the hum of the people in the piazza below and the location was so convenient to everything the historic center has to offer. The Arno river is only a couple of blocks away, the Duomo is about a 10 minute walk. There are too many wonderful shops and restaurants to mention (well I'll mention Boccadama as it's literally right downstairs and we ate there about 7 times because it was so delicious) plus a large and excellent Conad grocery store is about a 5 minute walk from Mimi. There's even a taxi stand right in the piazza, super convenient! In terms of the interiors: the pretty master bedroom is roomy with plenty of closet space and a very comfortable bed with good linens and great pillows. The delightful second bedroom is smaller, but also had plenty of closet space and was really cozy for one person with a very comfortable, wider than normal single bed. Showers and water pressure in both (clean) bathrooms worked well. Both bedrooms were quiet at night as they do not face the Piazza, so we slept peacefully. As you can see from the photos, the living room is very charming with a small sofa and two comfortable armchairs with a lovely view out across the Piazza. There is a nice dining room with a sturdy table for 4 people and French doors out the the terrace...although my daughter set up her office on the table so we really didn't use it as a dining table!We loved the kitchen! It's really functional and very well stocked, we cooked a number of meals in it and it had everything we needed. There is a good sized refrigerator with a freezer (ice trays), dishwasher and a combination washer/dryer that came in very handy for a month-long stay. One of the things we enjoyed most about the kitchen was the gorgeous view from the large window....it looks out across beautiful terracotta rooftops, in the direction of the Arno and up to the Bardini Gardens and San Miniato al Monte. The beautiful views and nice natural light that comes into the kitchen from this window gives the kitchen an open and airy feeling and it's a lovely space to work in. Another benefit of Mimi, is the professional management that is onsite. Cecile, the greeter, is responsive and dependable, so any issues that might arise will be dealt with promptly. And the team at Italy Perfect was terrific to work with as well! Side note: the elevator is small (2 people)...but modern and runs well. Oh, and bring a pair of travel binoculars...we had fun from the terrace looking at the folks at the top of the Duomo, the Torre di Arnolfo and the people in the Piazza, as well as the pretty surrounding hillsides! As you can tell, my daughter and I had a marvelous experience and are already planning our next trip back to Florence and the lovely Mimi...."our" charming rooftop nest with a terrace of dreams. "This was the second time we've stayed at Casetta Bonsi. This time for 4 wks! We loved living like a local. Shopping at the markets, eating at the fabulous cafes in the Oltrarno, day trips to other towns by train... an easy 20min walk.Maurizio is the perfect host. Always available to answer any query & give advise when needed. We adored the little patio & spent time there every day having a coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. "This is the second time we have gone to Florence and used Italy Perfect. The accommodations at Memoria are excellent. It Is in walking distance for all the sites in Florence. The personnel at Italy perfect were very helpful in working out arrangements for the apartment and provided helpful other information. Once we arrived, Isabel was very helpful in coordinating activities such as a driver for excursions, cleaning lady for the apartment and suggestions for things to do.
