The location is in central Rome, four blocks from Piazza del Popolo, two blocks from the Tiber River, four blocks from the Borghese gardens. Nearby Piazzale Flaminio is a transportation hub with Metro station and many busses. If you wish to stroll, you will be in Piazza del Popolo in less than five minutes, ten more minutes puts you in Piazza di Spagna, where you will find the Spanish Steps and the designer shopping hub of Rome. The Pantheon is about a fifteen minute walk and Piazza Navona about five minutes further.

The building is handsome with a spacious lobby and a friendly doorman.
 
As for comfort and convenience, the living/dining room offers two sofas and an easy chair. One sofa converts to a queen bed. The entertainment center has satellite TV so you can pick up English language news plus a VCR and a selection of tapes if you want to put your feet up and relax at "home." A variety of books and guides are here for your use.

A terrace wraps around the living room, so two sets of French doors admit plenty of light. Trellises with vines and pots of plants welcome you to enjoy your rooftop location. On the hottest days you can close up and turn on the air conditioning, but on many temperate days, even warm ones, you can open up and let the breezes blow through.

The dining table seats four and is a handsome antique as is the desk nearby. You also have the option of eating on the terrace in warm weather. The terrace is not very large, but is big enough for a table and four chairs. The eat-in kitchen has a large refrigerator with a freezer compartment, gas four-burner stove top and oven, microwave, Italian and drip coffee makers, and a dishwasher. The table seats four.

The master bedroom is adequately sized with a queen sized bed and two built-in closets. It has its own balcony and neighborhood view. The ensuite bathroom has shower within tub as well as sink and toilet. The second bathroom has shower, sink and toilet.

The smaller bedroom features two twin beds and has a window that opens out onto the terrace.

A locked storage room accessed from the terrace has a washer and dryer as well as a hotel-style safe.

The location is convenient, and feels more like an authentic neighborhood with thinner tourist crowds then just a few blocks away along the Via del Corso and Piazza del Popolo. There are many good restaurants nearby and it's a very easy walk to the Spanish Steps. We like to browse the Sunday enclosed antiques market a few blocks away near Piazzale Flaminio, and have seen some interesting small collectables and vintage clothes there. It's located at Piazza della Marina. 10am-7pm about 2 Euros entrance fee. Look for the sign "Garage Sale".
