We dubbed this the "Carina" apartment because it means 'pretty' in Italian and this name fits it so perfectly. Located in an elegant 17th century in the upscale Via del Corso area of Rome' s historic center, between the Spanish Steps and the Piazza del Popolo. It is located on the top floor and is an 807 square foot, 75 square meter, one bedroom apartment that suits two to three people.
Magnificent views abound from the living and dining rooms. Wrap-around windows provide spectacular views of the Villa Medici and the Villa Borghese. The living room is elegantly furnished with antiques, books, two desks and cable internet access. There is a sofa that opens up to become a queen size bed and an adjoining love seat. Furnished in country French soft white, plump floral throw pillows this is where you can relax and enjoy planning your daily excursions within the Eternal City.
The separate dining area, seating 6, has glass on two sides and doors that open out onto terrace. The sparkling antique crystal chandelier and gilded antique mirror over the marble topped chest of drawers give the dining room an sophisticated and dressy feel. What a setting for a romantic candlelight dinner for two!
The charming terrace is furnished with a patio table, 4 chairs and potted plants. Before you even leave on your trip you can daydream about lunch or dinner on the terrace, soaking up the local life knowing Rome is at your doorstep. Finding an apartment of this quality in such a chic location with a terrace is not easy. We knew the minute we saw it that Carina was just our style.
The fully stocked kitchen has a microwave, automatic espresso machine, washing machine, dishwasher, and fine china.
The bedroom is small but has a queen size bed and wall-mounted bedside lamps. There are two bathrooms.
The building has an elevator. When you exit the elevator on the 5th floor, there are four steps to reach the apartment.
This apartment is superbly situated in the upscale Via del Corso, Spanish Steps area. It's a very easy short walk to the Spanish Steps, the famous designer shops of Via Condotti and Via Frattina, and the Villa Borghese park, make it an ideal location for visitors to Rome.
