newspapers at the newsstand half a block from the apartment.
Just off Piazza Carlo Goldoni is the
narrow street to the right where the Splendida apartment is
situated.
Florence's renowned indoor market, the
Mercato Centrale, is a feast for the eyes. It's about a 15 minute
walk from the apartment.

a Hogan and Tod store.
MaxMara store a few blocks away is
best known for fabulous cashmere coats, and has a large selection
of beautiful women's fashions.
Enjoy people-watching at the outdoor
cafe that adjoins the Roberto Cavalli boutique. The cafe is well
known for excellent chocolate candy.
The beautiful Santa Maria Novella
church is nearby. The main Florence train station is just behind
this famous piazza.
Popular Il Latini restaurant only a
few blocks from the apartment. At night the crowds are thick
outside awaiting a much-coveted table.
Elegant shops and cafes are nearby. A
famous children's clothing boutique, Anichini, is next to the
cafe.
Taking a closer look at the amazing
painted detail of the cafe signals it probably was a butcher shop
at one time.
Pedestian zones make walking easy on
traffic-free streets in the neighborhood.
