we bought the fresco-style painting we knew it was perfect for the
living room.
Living room has dining table for
romantic candle light dinners. The table expands to seat six
people.

Comfortable master bedroomwindows open
onto back terrace. Large armoire and dresser provide plenty of
storage space for clothing.

The terrace off the kitchen is a
delightful place to while away the hours. It's perfect for meals
outside.

Breakfast on the terrace is the best
way to start a summer day.

Medici apartment is located is quiet yet only minutes to the center
of town.
Each of the homes on the main little

A few minutes walk is Piazza Porta
Romana where you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables and pick up
the daily newspaper.
The handy produce stand where you can
pick up the freshest fruits and vegetables is a few minutes walk
away.
Try the wonderful cheeses, dried meats
and savory dishes at this wonderful delicatessen on Via Romana.
Shop for produce at the Piazza Santo
Spirito outdoor market. The piazza has a nice array of restaurants
too.
This is the Porta Romana or "Roman
Gate". The locals call this the "new" wall since it only dates to
the 15th century.

A lion statue guards the entrance to
the via Niccolo Macchiavelli that leads to the Medici
apartment.
On the other side of the start of via
Niccolo Macchiaveli is a statue of the she wolf that rescued
Romulus and Remus.
Walk up the Viale Niccolo Macchiavelli
to Piazzale Michalangelo and enoy the fantastic views of
Florence.
Another beautiful view is a hearty
walk uphill from Medici apartment up to Piazzale Michelangelo.
At the end of the street near Medici
is a gate that leads into the art institute which is a day time
short cut directly into the city.
The pretty tree lined street leading
to the Istituto d'Arte. The Medici apartment is behind the
Instituto d'Arte.
On the grounds of the Art Institute is
a cute playground, ideal if traveling with young children.
Playgrounds are hard to find in the
central part of the city. This one is very close to the Medici
apartment.
Beautiful paths stretch out across the
gorgeous Boboli Gardens, which are directly behind the Medici
apartment.

On a hot August day the grass in brown
but changes back to green in the cooler seasons.
